Generate Your Business Idea Training

thumb-gybA good business starts with a good business idea. Before you can start a business you need to have a clear idea of the sort of business you want to run. A business idea is a short and precise description of the basic operations of an intended business.

Your business idea will tell you:

What product or service will sell.

Who you business will sell to.

How your business is going to sell its products or services.

Which need your business will fulfill for the customer.

 

In the Generate Your Business Idea training you will:

Do a personal assessment exercise: are you suited for running business?

Screen your abilities and experiences.

Discuss different types of businesses: retailing, wholesale, manufacturing, service providing, Agriculture/forestry/fishing.

Exercise structured brainstorming.

Visit the local business area.

Investigate your environment:

  • resources from nature,
  • people’s abilities and skills,
  • institutions,
  • industries,
  • import substitution,
  • publications,
  • trade fairs and exhibitions.
Use your own and other people’s experiences.

Create an ‘Ideas List’.

Be introduced to field research.

Perform a SWOT analysis of your business ideas.

Analyze your business ideas and select the best three.

The target group of the MBC are people from deprived (slum) areas in underdeveloped and developing countries. To benefit from the training, the potential entrepreneur must be able to read, write and do simple calculations. The training is fit for men and women aged 18 or older.
